Hi and welcome to QCR520 Aims and Approaches to teaching literature. We will be using this blog as a way for us to reflect and share our thoughts about literature and literature education with each other so do get use to checking in on this page on a regular basis. The blog title, "dwell", captures a concept that I'm trying to figure out. I am convinced that we don't have enough time to "dwell" on things in the literature classroom, which according to dictionary.com means to "linger over, emphasize, or ponder in thought, speech or writing". Work with me on this, and I do hope I manage to create a classroom environment where we have time to dwell on our readings, our teaching, our identities, our values, on anything and everything that matters to us as Literature educators.
